There are many other ways to get a fruit, a Blox fruit will spawn every 1 hour or 45 minutes on the weekend. You can use the fruit notifier to help you find a fruit. There are also factory raids that give fruit to the player who does the most damage (only in the second sea), ship raids that have a 20% fruit drop chance (only in the second and third sea), and pirate raids (only in the third sea).
